I'm making these as Christmas presents. Every one comes out different and they only take a couple of hours. :happydance:

Very cute! And practical! Are you using a pattern, or are they your own creation? Either way ... great job! :yay:

Thanks. Yes, they're my own creation. I try to make each one just little bit different. ;)

Would love it if you could post some basic but changeable guidelines. They are very nice!

Here ya go:

I used a standard soft glasses case as a pattern. The finished dimensions are 6 1/2 x 3 3/8. I like my projects to go fast, so I use 2 strands of Sugar & Creme or other cotton yarn and size 10 needles.

I cast on 21 stitches, but it might take 23 or even 25 if you're using finer yarn. After that, I just used seed stitch (k1, p1) until it measured 6 1/2" then bound off.

I used the same yarn to stitch up the sides, then folded down the upper right corner and tacked it in place.

For the pink one, I added a tassel. For the other, I made a little medallion by casting one 1 stitch, then increased every row until I had 5 stitches, then decreased back to 1 and bound off. I sorta did that in seed stitch, but that doesn't work too well while increasing and decreasing. It still came out okay, however.

What's cool about this is that it could be made a little shorter for a cell phone or wider for a digital camera, so it has all sorts of possibilities. :happydance:

Thank you all. I just found some microfiber lens cleaning cloths for sale at OnlineAuction, so I'm gonna include them with the cases and instructions (that's all we're supposed to use on our lenses -- no Kleenex, no paper towels). :happydance:

I've been making Christmas presents all year. My Christmas closet is almost full. TOO MUCH FUN! :knitting:

Omigosh! You're giving me some silly ideas. Maybe I'll make one that looks like a candy bar or a banana or a candy cane. They could be all kinds of goofy. Gotta think about this. :roflhard:

That's what I was thinking. I'm always making stuff for other people, maybe after Christmas I'll make something for myself.
