Working through my stash.
I bought the yarn at Hobby Lobby.
It's called Baby Bee Sweet Delight pompadour, color Angel.
It's what's left from a baby set a couple years ago.
I used US size 2, 2.5 and 3 needles, but the label calls for size 6.

So precious. That is the same yarn I used for the "Angel Wings" baby blanket and I love it. I had not used it before but I sure will be using it again. Is that your own pattern? The bonnet is so sweet.

Thank you Jan. You might be right about the heirloom thing. The baby's Baptism is this Sunday and she is wearing her mommy's Christening gown and the bonnet and booties.

I had to go get the book. The stitch pattern is called Split Leaf, from Barbara Walker's 1st Treasury of patterns (pg.217/218). It looks entirely different not blocked as I did, and is one of my favorite stitches.
The bonnet is 1950s/'60s "basic pattern" style, as are the booties.
