My kids and I were at a marching band exhibition the other night, and it was quite chilly out there. I had my new fingerless gloves and was knitting away on a shawl.

A little boy of about 8 or 10 came up to me and asked what I was knitting. I showed it to him and he admired it for a minute....then, shivering, he said hopefully, " Can you knit me a blanket?":rofl:
