I have been knitting this on and off for 2 years, I think.

Ok so it's time to finish it. I'm knitting it in Cascade Yarns, Venezia in Cloudy Evening, which is a navy blue. Very pretty, this yarn is really nice.
I'm to the part where you start to knit the lace bottom. This is the part that messes up everytime, but aha I have a life line in now. tee hee. So tonight I will start again.....:yay:
And this time I better finish. You all will have to hold me too it.

I'll let you all know how tonights knitting goes. Hopefully I can make it through the first 5 lines of the lace pattern. keeping fingers crossed. Crossed Fingers

Ok so, yes I worked on it but only did the first row of the lace pattern. We were watching a movie and I just couldn't keep up with both. Today is going to be a lazy day so I will work on it this afternoon. :yay:

Ok so I've ripped back to my lifeline like 3 times. So aggravation is setting in. grrr....But I think I know what my problem is and I just need confirmation.
Ok since the bottom part is lace. My first question is when I put my lifeline in at the end of the top part I was to have 221 stitches. That is what I have. Will I have 221 stitches as I knit the lace or will this number vary and I shouldn't worry.
Second question is after I do the repeats and I'm supposed to have say 13 stitches remaining to end the row and I don't, does that mean that I messed up or do I just not knit or purl the last instruction of the repeat like if it's p13 purling 12 is ok because 13 stitches remain?

Confused yet? Thanks for any help.....:eyes:

I'm obviously making this harder than it needs to be. lol
