What kind of knitted bags? One used for a purse, or one used as a yarn project holder, or a market bag? I have been making string market bags for my daughter, she is giving them to her co-workers as Christmas gifts.

I saw somewhere talking about one for garden harvests. My thoughts were they must have much smaller harvests than I do.

Depends on the bag. I like mesh market bags, but don't care for knit ones, felted or not. Once I made a smallish bag for my SIL because I couldn't find a black velvet one to go with her RenFair pirate costume. I used Lion Chenille bulky on size 8s for a simple drawstring bag.

I like them!

There are so many styles of knitted bags now! There is a style to suit almost anyone!

Here (http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2235/2105063200_74cd41a6a4_z.jpg) is one that is really cool! It's a free pattern (http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/felted-bag-with-mitered-squares), too!

Look at this felted Doctor's Bag! (http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2382/2082081348_d59d3caf32_z.jpg) I adore it! It can use up wool stash like crazy!
And here (http://images4.ravelry.com/uploads/katepwe/32662886/P1020706_medium2.JPG) is another one! The PDF pattern (http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/felted-doctors-bag-2) is only $5!

Anyway, here is a little Quinn Bag that I knit up, using leftover yarn from the sweaters.
I love my little Quinn Cabled Bags! Especially so because they used up stash leftovers!
Quinn Cable Bag is also a FREE PATTERN! (http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/quinn-cabled-bag) Yay!

I also knit up this Bucket Bag, using leftover Noro wool:
It was so darn easy, too! It is also a FREE PATTERN! (http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/angelas-fabulous-felted-bag)

Artlady, those bags are great and I can use the "Knitting Bag" pattern I got from Knit Picks as it is the same style, plus extras.
Thanks for the nudge.

Love your sweaters,:inlove: mine never look that nice.
