Maybe I am reading too much into this and just confusing me more.
So, if I am reading this right, row 3 -24 you repeat row 1 and 2 11 more times. So Row 3 I would do row 1 and row 4 do row 2 and so on and do that 11 times which would actually be a total of 231 rows if I do that 11 times?

Begin Basketweave Pattern
Row 1: (K1, p1) twice, k1, p18, *k18, p18; rep from * to last 5 sts, (k1, p1) twice, k1.
Row 2: (K1, p1) twice, k1, knit to last 5 sts, (k1, p1) twice, k1.
Rows 3-24: Rep last 2 rows 11 more times.:eyes:

Thanks, to anyone helping clear this brain!Lisa

Yes, that is what you do, but it'll add 22 rows if you do it 11 times. So with the 2 rows you started with that will give you the 24 rows.

Um now I am still confused.
Row 3 (do row 1)
Row 4 (do row 2)
Row 5 (do row 1)
Row 6 (do row 2)
And I do this way for the rest of row7 to 24. Okay so that adds up to 22 rows (3-24). Light bulb when you said with the first 2 already done that would be 24. Duh, told you I think too much.

Thanks, I understand after I sat here typing this.

Good grief here I go again. You say it adds 22 rows, but doesn't the "do 11 more times" mean I actually will do 3-24 11 times not just the 1 time through? This is for an afghan.and the pattern is only a 48 row pattern, that would not be long enough for an afghan.

You work a total of 24 rows for this section.

I suspect there are directions for row 25 and beyond. Since this is a basketweave pattern, I'd think that you have to reverse the stitches at some point.

Yes you do reverse later and then if I had bothered to finish reading the instructions I would have seen after you do 48 rows, you repeat 1-48 2 more times. It is a bulky yarn so I guess it will be longer than I was picturing when I had not bothered to see it is all worked a total of 3 times. Sorry for the confusing but I appreciate you both answering me.
