Detail shows better in larger photos. Pattern is reversible scarf from Bernat. Yarn is Plymouth Galway wool. I haven't been this disappointed with a yarn since 1960 when I made a crew neck sweater for my brother in size 12 which, after washing, he could not wear until he was in high school!
I knit the scarf to 62 inches but after washing it had grown to 74 inches. Color bled terribly during soaking. Yarn was not inexpensive and I don't think I want to try it again.

Nice work! It's a great pattern ... too bad you were disappointed with the yarn :pout:

that looks nice. I like dots of color in gray cold days.
Thankfully with a scarf, gauge is not so important and it "fits" anyways. But I would not think its funny, either.

Lots of yarns grow when they are washed so the best thing to do is make a swatch and measure it, then wash it and remeasure to see how it changes. Then you can adjust your pattern accordingly.
It's beautiful! Sorry you had problems with the yarn, I think the scarf is still great! Very nice work.

Its looking good. I think you have to use some particular washing powder for it so that it will remain same.
