I love the Spring Beret pattern, this is my 4th one, made it in Vanna's Choice. Love the color. It turned out smaller than I'd like, but that's my fault, I didnt' change to larger needle size after ribbing.

I made it for a friend who requested a hat in this color, I'm waiting for a photo of her for Ravelry project page (http://www.ravelry.com/projects/Arielluria/spring-beret-4).

These are quick and impressive. Great if you need a last minute gift for Christmas. Uses size 8 & 9 needles & aran weight yarn.

Note.......I did NOT do the body of the beret in a 9, and I thought it came out too small. So definitely recommend switching to 9 for pattern.

Yeah, me too. I usually make lace only in light to medium colors, thinking it shows off the stitches better, but I really like how this one turned out! I'm also a BIG lover of this royal blue-ish color.
