I found a pattern for a hat that I can basicly watch tv and knit. I'll include said pattern further down. So this is my issue while out last weekend I found a non-knitted hat that I fell in love with. So I'm wondering now if the yarn I'm using is suitable for a sweater. Also at this point I'll need a super easy sweater pattern.
I'm using a us 10.5 needle but the hat pattern called for a us 10.

I'm making the hat and at this point I'm about 7 inches into the 11 that I have to stockentte stitch. I'm using a dark purple of soft buncle yarn.

If it's possible to do a sweater that might be more practical for me just not sure since I'm not a huge hat person. When Ive gotten mid row on the knitting and Purling it looks like it might fit me as a sweater. So is buncle ok for sweaters? Is there a simple stocketten pattern for a v cut sweater? Again last weekend I saw a stockette sweater v cut but made from wool and very expensive. If a pattern can be found that's easy that would be best. I cant do wool I'm mildly allergic to wool among other things lol.

Thanks in advance

Stockette mean k1 row p1 row, even better if the sweater pattern has a hood and pocket in the front.

Thank you

Yes, you can use boucle for a sweater, and there's lots of patterns for a v neck. You can knit one in the round using the sweater pattern generators at Knitting Fool (http://www.knittingfool.com/pages/topdown.guest.cfm) (where there's a couple other sweater patterns in different styles) woolworks (http://www.woolworks.org/patterns/raglan.html) and Knitting fiend (http://www.thedietdiary.com/knittingfiend/Raglan/TopDownMiniRaglan.html) (yoke pattern (http://www.thedietdiary.com/blog/lucia/1823) at K fiend) sites.
