Here is my first sock. I used Patons Stretch socks yarn, Cherry Sours. It is 41% cotton, 39 % wool, 13% nylon and 7% elastic. Now of course, I must begin no. 2. Sure feels toasty on the foot. I used the pattern for 7 stitches to an inch from Ann Budd's Getting Started Knitting socks. I did find errata pages on the net for this book, but fortunately none for the pattern I used. This book was extremely helpful and I am very happy it came highly recommended by a friend.

That looks very nice, now on to the second sock and a picture of both when complete.

once the sock-bug bites you... that looks really nice.
Have fun with the second one.
I am currently working on preemie socks for charity and feel the breeze of the socks just whipping up. But with adult socks the second one is the real challenge. So tackel it right away!

That's a nice, simple sock, which is great for color patterning. Usually, when you have a knit pattern and a color pattern, it's too busy, so having one and not the other is perfect! You should have probably done a cable pattern or something at the top to keep it from rolling but that could also work with the right style of clothing.

:cheering: Good job!!

I went to a LYS yesterday and the owner went on and on that I would love knitting socks. (I haven't had the interest.) "Once you start, you'll never want to wear anything else" or something like that. So guess who's signed up for a sock class in February?

Good luck on sock #2!

Great job and pretty yarn. I've used it before. Doesn't it feel awesome your first sock?!? I remember how great my first felt, and that was about 30 pair ago.
