Lol, I just finished knitting this hat for my brother and it's too big! Sooo... to the chopping block! I'm going to have to frog the entire thing and I think about 20% less stitches but due to the ribbing, I'll need to decrease in amounts of five. I'm not going to frog it yet... not until I change parts of the pattern to make it work for me, anyway.

Any chance you could convince him to grow his hair bushier? :roflhard:

Lol! What hair?? I mean, his head is bigger than mine but not THAT much. Basically, if it's a little loose on me, it's fine on him. And yeah, he's a walking advertisement for Mr. Clean, there... He started losing his hair at 16. The men in my family are just doomed, really...

What weight yarn and how many did you cast on? I normally use worsted weight yarn and cast on about 72-80.

Yeah, was worsted, followed the pattern, going to rip out and change the pattern. I had to do this to another pattern, as well. I used the right weight and needles and my gauge looked fine but it came out too big. Gah... Oh well, I have the time... he'll just get it a little later, is all. He has the first had to cover his chrome dome (as he calls it) with lol

In the meanwhile, I'm taking a break and making a netbook cover! I was going to knit then felt it but I think I might instead use this deer suede I have... it's so soft...

The men in my family are also folliclely challenged.

As far as :frog:, I view it as just part of the process.

Lol, yeah, I know... I'm stuck on the netbook cover because I want a binding material to cover the edge and match the zipper but don't seem to have the correct color in the correct fabric. I'm not using silk, when the edges of this thing are going to rub a lot... I'd love something canvas-like, though... After that, I'm not sure if I'll frog and re-do the hat or work on a felted satchel...
