View Full Version : double pointed needles.

I just started my first circular needle pattern. I'm working on some leg warmers with this cool "waffle check" pattern capped with ribbing.

I knitted a linear swatch to test the pattern, but it looks different on the leg warmers.

The pattern calls to knit on both the work side and the reverse side. Should I be purling on the reverse side? ... since you only need to knit to create a stocking stitch in circular knitting?

To change a flat pattern knit in rows to one that's knit in the round, you convert the WS rows to the opposite sts (a purl becomes a knit, and vice versa) and you have to start at the end of the row and work the sts to the beginning of it.
