I have a pattern for an afghan that I would like to make but I don't understand all of the directions. You knit the first 9 rows in a pattern. Rows 10-43 says to repeat rows 4-9 5 times; then repeat rows 4-7 once more. Rows 44-55 says repeat rows 2-7 twice. The comes the part I don't understand...

Rows 56-205: Repeat Rows 2-55 twice, then repeat Rows 2-43 once more. Can anyone help me with this? I can't break it down and it's so frustrating! Thanks.

To repeat rows 2-55 twice more, do all of the above for two repeats.

Then, to finish it off, start another repeat, but finish at row 43.

Write it down step by step -

knit first 9 rows in pattern.
Rows 10-43 - repeat rows 4-9 5 times (4-9, 4-9, 4-9, 4-9, 4-9) then repeat rows 4-7 once.
Rows 44-55 - repeat rows 2-7 twice. (2-7, 2-7)
Rows 56-205: Repeat Rows 2-55 twice, (that's all of the above), then repeat Rows 2-43 once.

What you can do is use a writing tablet and put the numbers 1-9 down the side with the instructions written out like I did above across the top. Mark off the rows as you finish them; put a check mark beside each row, and cross out the sections as you finish each one.
