I am making a hat and have been going along w/ no probs. Now I am going to form the crown and I have a question.
row 1 RS *K6, K2tog; rep from* to end, k4 (4, 2, 6)
Ok I get everything but the k4 (4,2,6) I am making a large 23" so I assume I use the 2, so does that mean I substitute the 2 for the K6?
Thanks in advance
Ingrid

Yes, you'll finish up with the number of stitches for your size.

Noooo, you do the k6 k2tog all around, but when you get to the end you'll only have 2 sts left, so you just knit those 2.

No no...the K2 only applies to the end. The begining you work as its written.

This should help you in the future. Everything between the *'s is repeated until you get to the point you don't have enough sts left to do this, then you finish by following the instructions after the last * and the ,. Hope this helps.
