I wondered why I come straight home from work and pick up the needles.

Hi Jackie.... I'm here to 'testify'... :)
Knitting works for me everytime... I don't need any sleeping pills; I don't need any stress pills... I just sit in my knitting corner, watch a bit of t.v., talk to my hubby and knit my heart out... the best thing in the world!
:woot: Knitting is the best!

haha - my mom is a crocheter and has quite a stash of yarn. Anytime my father complains that she is bringing yet more yarn in the house she assures him the yarn is cheaper than therapy would be.

I love that! Will use it someday.

It is definitely therapy for me. I don't sleep so it is also something that keeps me quietly occupied when I'm up for a few hours in the middle of the night or wake up at 3am and can't get back to sleep. I'd be lost without it.

It definitely helps me. It helps to keep my troubles off of my mind, and keeps my hands busy. I love to get into my "knitting zone". :)

I get into the Knitting zone too, but sometimes my husband misses me.

Interesting sites, Jackie M. Thank you! Seems that they too have a forum of some sort - therapy likely. I like this knitting forum best for knitting therapy. So many good videos, lots of nice knitters to chat with....

I knit in the wee hours too. Seem to always wake up around 2 or 3 AM. I think it's due to a very loud train whistle nearby....every single night, and not always at the same time.

My hubby bought me an electronic air filter machine which makes a loud enough sound to drown out the train, but I don't always put it on, to save on electricity....and it also makes the room colder.
