This is my first time. I am trying to use a flat pattern for circular needles. What do I need to change? Thank you

Assuming you are still making a flat item, nothing.

Just CO to one of the two circular needles, then put that needle in your left hand, slide the stitches to the tip, and with the other needle in your right start knitting as per normal.

You should never slide the stiches across your cord from one needle to the other, that would be like using your circular needle as a double point needle.

What are you making? Do you want to knit in the round, or just use the circs to knit flat?

Thank you. I know how to do the knitting on circular needles. The problem is to make a pattern for a textured stitch for straight needles work for circular needles. Thanks

Yep, we need a lot more information to help you. Do you have a link to the pattern you're trying to work?

Thank you.
1st ROW:(right side) K1[p1,k1]31 times
2nd ROW:P63
these two rows form the pattern and are repeated
