View Full Version : FO's for Spring

03-11-2011, 10:32 AM
I just finished up a couple of cute spring projects. The first is a spring sweater. It's sort of a fitted Tshirt (http://www.ravelry.com/projects/MoniDew/t-shirt---ish) with a Vneck and cap sleeves in a tarnished penny color.

And the second is a pair of adorable socks (http://www.ravelry.com/projects/MoniDew/mychaels-socks-redeaux) for my granddaughter in a hot pink color. I think they turned out great!

Hope you all enjoy seeing these works. It's so fun to share this with others who enjoy the art and craft of knitting.

Oh love that sweater! It looks very lightweight and I love the shape!

I can't wait till I can make things like that!

Also, the yarn for the socks? SO PINK! Fantastic!

The shirt is great. I also can't wait until I have enough experience to do something like that. Cute, fun socks too.

Beautiful work!:yay:

I went to look at the pattern to see how :noway: over my head it was and read that you basically created your own which to a newbie like my is definitely inspiring!!

aw, gosh & shucks, you guys! THANK YOU!

I tried it on for all of you (and am wearing it now! LOL!) 1st, I apologize for the terrible over-the-shoulder camera shot for the back. And, yes, I had to have help to take the front (should'a asked for help with both!!) But at least you can get an idea of how it looks on me.

So glad you posted the pictures with you wearing the sweater! I love to see FO's, but especially like to see them "in use" - It really shows off the work!

I'd like to make something much like this, but with a bit more of an "empire" waistline. I've been scouring Rav to find one I like. Yours really inspires me!!

Thank you, everyone, for such kind words. I thought you all might like to see another brightly colored kids' sock. Here's Ben's birthday socks (http://www.ravelry.com/projects/MoniDew/little-boy-blue)! They are a WIP for his April birthday.

Great job! I love the way you described the color as tarnished penny color, very good choice of words. That made a nice lightweight tee. Jazzy socks too.
