Hello -- I am new to knitting and new to kh! I'm excited to learn and anxious to complete a project. Q - is YO and YF one and the same? I searched the site and couldn't seem to find an answer. Thanks!

They can be the same. If yf is between knit sts then it's a YO. If there's a slip st after it that isn't a decrease, then just move the yarn to the front, slip the stitch, then move it to the back if you're knitting the stitch after that.

The video under Glossary (at the top of this page), YO may also help.

I always YF when I YO. It just makes more sense to me.

Yes, yf is between knit sts. Thank you so much!
