View Full Version : FO: Japanese Feather Scarf
I wanted to make the stole but I would have been a tad short on yarn. I was really disappointing to find that the yarn (50/50 mohair/acrylic) was a wee bit scratchy; the soft squishiness of it was misleading! But it was intended as a gift for my MIL and I will give it to her anyway as she typically wears such scarves over turtle necks or light jackets.

Oh wow! What a beeeautiful pattern! And your yarn is delightful! Great work!!!
I like your scarf so much...I ran right over to Rav and bought the pattern! Thanks for the link! I printed the pdf...and I'm very happy that it states how much yarn you will need for the stole, or for the scarf!
Very happy here!
Thanks :)
ArtLady, what yarn are you going to use? I can't wait to see your rendition of it!

I have 3 yarns in my Stash that I've PAIRED with this pattern.
This (http://www.ravelry.com/people/ArtLady/stash/kaido-lame) one, this (http://www.ravelry.com/people/ArtLady/stash/saldanha-2) one, and this (http://www.ravelry.com/people/ArtLady/stash/saldanha) one!
The Elann Kaido Lame will be a stole. I think I'll start with the stole for summer!
The other two will be scarves. I love the SMOKE color (http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5290/5224933578_a74dd45730_z.jpg) best!

Very beautiful.
Wow, that's just lovely. Beautiful yarn. Maybe it will be less scratchy after wearing and washing.

Beeeutiful scarf! What an inspiration you folks are!
And if we needed more proof that this is a masterpiece, just look how happy your cat is! It's got it's little claws dug in in sheer delight and pleasure at being covered with such a lovely knitted item!

Beautiful work! :woot:
Thanks, all!
Woodi, cute put-put you have there! Such dignity and feline grace! ;) The beige in the photo is one of my four cats (six, if you count the fosters). His name is Baby, he's about 5 years old, 11lbs and looooong and skinny. It wasn't hard to get him in the photo as he is very snuggly if you have a certain blanket on your lap. You can see it in the lower left corner of the first picture. It's like a Baby-magnet!
