I am knitting a cardigan from a Katia magazine. The directions for increasing at the armhole read:
On next right side row, continue in established pattern, increasing 1 st at left edge (end of right side row) every 2 rows: 1 st 4 times; 23 sts 1 time.

I understand all of that except where it states 23 sts 1 time. Any ideas? Thanks, Melinda

To 'increase' that many stitches, you'd have to cast on; use a knit or cable CO at the beginning of the row.
