I am trying to find out if there are any published corrections for patterns in the book "Viva Poncho" by Christina Stork & Leslie Barbazette.

How can I find out if there are any?? AND where would I look??? I'm trying to do a sample of the Brioche Stitch for the Desiree Poncho and mine doesn't look ANYTHING like the picture.

Thanks,

You can google "errata for Viva Poncho" or "corrections Viva Poncho"

You can also look at the brioche st website (http://www.briochestitch.com) to see if that's like the instructions in the pattern for doing the brioche st and if you're doing it correctly.

Thanks suzeeq!! I found a youtube video and discovered that I was NOT doing it correctly. I was slipping the stitch Knit-wise AND doing the K2tog with the yarn in back. So I'm going to have to try again later to see if I can get it right!!

I guess I'd always thought that the Brioche stitch included "knit 1 stitch in the row below" or something like that...........guess not.

Ahh the slip st - it should be slipped purlwise if you don't do anything to it on the same row, or knitwise if you do - like for a decrease.

Knit 1 below is a variation of brioche st called fisherman's rib (http://www.thedietdiary.com/blog/lucia/291) and they look the same. You could substitute that for the sl yo and k2tog if you want.
