I haven't posted for a while but kept busy this summer knitting dishcloths at the beach or during the noontime organ concerts. When at home I worked on this sweater for my daughter.
Pattern is from the Spring/Summer 2010 issue of Knitting Simple. Yarn is Plymouth Jeannee, a cotton and acrylic blend.
When I washed it the sweater grew to unbelievable proportions so I took a chance and put it in the dryer for a bit then put it on the board to finish drying. It's pretty much back to what it was before washing...thank heavens! :)

Nice work! It's a classic style and I love the color.
Lovely colour and nice clean lines. I am glad to hear that you have solved the size problem.

Love the color! Yes, cotton blends usually need to be dried in the dryer. I leave them in until just dampish, then finish drying laid out flat.

That's beautiful, Judy! I put cotton in the dryer, too.

Really lovely sweater and a great color choice. I've used Jeanee before and it's wonderfully soft. Glad to know about the washer/dryer experience. Thanks!

Oh that reminds me of my dilemma a few years ago, too! Yup...I figured "might as well try to shrink this sucker back into shape because as it is...it's ruined anyway! What have I got to lose? If it doesn't work...I'll have A LOT of white cotton to knit dishcloths with as I FROG!"
Anyway, your sweater is beautiful! Nice shaping, lovely color! Good work!

That sounds like a well spent summer and your sweater turned out nicely.
