Hi, i've just joined the forum, and this is my first post.

I've been knitting for a while and slowly learning more, but I really want to learn to crochet. I was wondering if anyone could recommend any good books for complete beginners, or if you had any tips on where to start. I love learning new skills and this is something i've wanted to learn for a while.

Thank you!

There are lots of free tutorials online, including my own videos on my website www.HookedOnNeedles.com that you could use. Just click on the crochet link on my sidebar and you'll find a list of all sorts of crochet videos and inspiration. Have fun with it!

This is the Curtzy Crochet Hooks free video series of lessons. Ignore the part about getting the lessons in your email. The whole series is complete here. Begin the lessons in order.

You might want to subscribe to Mikey's Youtube channel. It's free. He has a lot of crochet along projects.

I started knitting and then picked up crochet (some random teach yourself book) and became hooked. You can move much more quickly in crochet. But knitting stitches look a lot nicer.
