I am having trouble with my fingerless glove pattern. I am at the part to increase and it says:

"Rnd 1: P1, [inc 1 by knitin front and back of next st] twice, P1, knit to end of rnd."

This is from Creative Knitting Magazine: November 2004.

I don't know what increase it's talking about.

They want you to do a "bar increase", in one stitch, and then again in the next stitch.
