Hi Nicoley,
Here's a link for crochet flowers:
http://www.crochetpatterncentral.com/directory/flowers.php
There's a question over in the patterns forum section where Amy also posted links for knit flowers.

There are a few flower and butterfly patterns in stitch and bitch nation (check the website for pattern corrections!)

I didn't wanted to begin a new thread and this one is similar to my question.
I learned to chrochet when I was 12 and since then only did rectangles(aka two scarves). It's been a whole while since I last crochet, but I too want to add a flower to a knitted hat. Are there any simple flowers out there? Any pattern I've seen sofar have been much too complicated for me(+ I don't know the correct abbreviations).
Hi Javede,
I believe the basic abbreviates for crochet are:
ch = chain stitch
sl st = slip stitch
sc = single crochet
dc = double crochet
tr = treble crochet
www.stitchguide.com has great videos on the crochet basics.
Good luck!
Salsa, great flower pattern links!
