Finished the Liesel Lace Scarf (http://yummyyarn.indus3ous.com/archives/cat_scarf_liesel_lace.html)! I used Peruvian Collection Baby Silk from www.elann.com (two strands held together). I don't think the picture shows off the leaf pattern well, but it is pretty. I'm quite happy with the end result!

I get to post a photo at last - woohoo! Here is a pic of a baby hat (my first non-square knitting project) that I made for my friend's baby (due first week of December - he turned up 4th November and weighed in at just on 7lbs  ) It has been dubbed the butternut squash hat, as a short-sighted friend of mine thought that's what it was when she viewed the photo without her specs on. :D

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/peev/crafts/7b5ab9fc.jpg

It was soooo easy to knit, and the wool (Debbie Bliss Baby...something  ) was lovely and soft to knit with. The colour is more buttermilk-y in real life.

I recently finished a scarf from the pattern amy posted using the drop stitch, it shows in the pic as on the needles. Its about 6' in length, I used a light weight novelty yarn, so it wraps around the neck and hangs on both sides, like the latest ones in the magazines, it was a fun pattern and took about the length of a good movie to complete.

Still no picture of Jim actually in the sweater...we've been having unusually warm weather the last few days so he hasn't been as cold at night. He promised me though he'd at least put it on for a minute tonight so I can take a picture. In the meantime, a hat, scarf and jacket. Pictures HERE (http://www.divaknitting.com/blog/?p=200).

Thanks for the complements :D The yarn is Roxanne's Mohair which was 50% mohair and 50% lamb's wool. It comes from a place called Hopyard Spinnery here in CT and is sold locally. This color is called Tropical Punch.

Thanks Kemp. The lucky recipient is my wife (she also got a Booga Bag made from the same type of wool but in a color called Fall Colors)

Stonington, thanks for the complement. There is a neat yarn store right there in Mystic. Its called Mystic River Yarns. The number is 860-536-4305 and its not far from downtown Mystic. It may pay to call ahead for directions because its hidden away in a corner thats not visible from the street. Its a neat place though and sometimes has people like Lily Chinn there demonstrating. Congratulations on your wedding! I live in Norwich, about half an hour from where you'll be staying.

The last time I posted was on Nov 7th. So, in a week, this forum has 15 pages more, which means that 2 pages (and something) are typed in just a day.

I CANT KEEP TRACK OF THIS!!!!

PS: Love the Napoeleon Dynamite pillow, the felted bags, the markers, all the socks (impressive), the KK baby set, the bow scarf. I cant remember all. I will chek this forum everyday! that is the only solution!!!

:cheering:

It knits up amazingly fast, I did mine on a 10mm needle and used bernat frenzy yarn.
The stitches you drop off are about 2.5" in length. I used 2 balls and knitted till I used them all.

It is very cozy.
