Ok, I am going to start the Rogue hoodie as shown here:

http://girlfromauntie.com/patterns/shop/rogue/detail.php

but I thought I would give everyone the opportunity to join in and knit along with me if they wanted to. So, what do y'all say? Want to knit the infamous Rogue with me??

Yahoo... I won't start for another week or so. I am finishing up a hat and a pair of socks, so you still have some time :)

I am so excited that I wont be doing it alone :)

I just finished knitting the pocket on the rogue. However, this is my second attempt at it. The first time I couldn't maintain my guage, so I took it apart and bought new yarn. I am enjoying this project and look forward to others joining.

I bought my yarn yesterday, so when it arrives, I will be starting. I bought elann's peruvian highland wool and it cost me anout 44.00 (Canadian) for 13 skiens. That was what I figured I would need. Just incase anyone was wondering.

I can't wait to start!!!

I've had my yarn from KnitPicks for a while, but I had some other projects to finish before I could start on this. I'm gauging a swatch tonight to see which needles I need, but then it should be off to the races! Once I get started, I'll be posting my progress on my blog.

I got a bunch of yarn from ripping out old sweaters. You can have it if you wanna. Just let me know, I'll get my stuff together and take some pics of it.

 I've an idea....ya'll can start the washcloth, or properly speaking in the South...ya'll can start a KAL for a lady's hanky which is certainly needed bc of the :crying: bc of the inability to join this, particular KAL....BUT...your lady's hanky KAL will ROCK or spread :sunny: or be lady-like...but.....without a doubt...it will be FUN because ya'll will make it so.....

now, did that even come close to cheering ya up?!
lol...it was my intention...I do admit the lameness :roflhard: of it...but I did mean to cheer YOU up...my Granny used to say that a lady never left home without one...I'm not so sure that she meant one that was say..in bulky weight with cables....I think she meant dainty...but u could pull it off!! :cheering: :cheering: :cheering:

It's Patons Canadiana, in "Silver Grey Mix".

And best of all... machine washable and dryable.

What's the weather like up there? Can you still wear it once it's done, or will you have to wait?

I have a fairly heavy course-load this summer, so by the time I get it finished (at the rate I'm going) it will be fall.

After having some issues with a cursed ball of yarn (you can read all about it on my blog-button below or in the general forum under Waaaaaaa!) I finally have made some good progess. I finished the kangaroo pocket last night and I'm in the process of finishing row 14 on the body. I even got the stitches picked up (albeit rather tightly) on the back side of the pocket with out any troubles. I'd take pics, but the batteries in the cam are currently dead. Must get some more tomorrow.

Just thought I'd share!

Whoot! I have pics!!!

Not sure if I mentioned this previously, but I'm using KnitPicks WOTA in Grass. I wasn't expecting the yarn to be as GREEN as it is (I was hoping for a more muted color... damn computer monitors), but at least I will have something yummy and green to wear for the next St. Patty's Day... :D

I actually have two questions:
1. Are you on Craftster? because I think I saw both these pictures there ;)
2. Did you modify the pattern to knit in the round (haven't studied the pattern yet, but heard that some is knit separately)?

Finally got the camera out. I used Lamb's Pride Worsted M-185 Aubergine. The color doesn't look just right here, but you get the idea!

I made it for my daughter some time ago..

http://virtuella.blogdrive.com/archive/180.html

I also made a celtic cap for her, pattern from the same place.

http://virtuella.blogdrive.com/archive/183.html

The yarn I used is called Rondane, it is 80% wool and 20% mohair.

I'm in the same boat Laura. I want to make this SO BADLY, but it's a little bit beyond what I can knit at the moment. I could always give it a try, but I'd like to wait until I've mastered things a little better.

I have started this, but I have found that I needed to double up on the KP Merino and use a size 10 1/2US needle to get gauge!

I didn't realize how tight I apparently knit. But I have been so busy lately that I haven't gotten past the hem.
