I can't believe I just found this. All your non-human house mates are wonderful. I love the snakes, when our cat decides goes to HOLLYWOOD I think I'm going to get one. We live with a 15 year old Calico name Camille AKA She-Who-Must-Be-Obyed, and a 3 year old beagle named Lily short for Diamond Lil. Camille had live the first 8 months of her life on the mean streets of North Philadelphia before we rescued her. Not a pretty existence, so it's no wonder she's been pretty miserable life. The only person she really likes is my DH, the rest of the world she merely tolerates. I still love her even when she abuses me.

Lily is as happy as Camille is miserable. I got her at the SPCA this last Feb. She had been brought there by her last people to be put down because she wasn't house trained, as if it were her fault that after 3 years she wasn't trained. We had no trouble training her all it took was a little patience and some love. She is so sweet I don't know how anyone could give her up.

This is our cat Joey, he's 8 years old. We called him Joey because ever since he was a kitten, he's been able to balance up on his back haunches (like a kangaroo baby!) when he's reachin' for a pettin'!!

Ironically, my largest dog and my smallest are the best of pals. The Schnauzer, Veena, typically hangs off the jowls of Chewy. You'll usually find Chewy, dragging Veena along attached to her face.

I have to try and get a picture of that.

I'm really enjoying looking at all of your pet pictures. I've been just dying to add mine, but up until now, I didn't know how to resize them. (I'm a little computer challaged).

I still don't know how to add more than one picture to a post, but I just had to add this one of my Merlin, and his favorite place to sleep. I'll post pictures of my other cats, as soon as I learn more about it.

Anyway, here's my Merlin...

Here are my dogs.

Lili is a Springer Spaniel. She is 6.5 years old. She is as sweet as sweet can be. She started having seizures in September and is on medication that makes her sleepy. We are hoping that she will be with us as long as we can keep her happy and comfortable

Luath is a Rat Terrier. Terrier is spelled by most terrier owners T-E-R-R-O-R. Luath is the Devil in a dog suit but we love him. He will be a year old in February. He loves Lili and has from the day we brought him home. When Lili had her last seizure, he got into her dog bed with her and draped himself over her until she was lucid enough to get up.

We also have a cockatiel named Maggie who is a boy but has a girl's name cause I couldn't tell the difference when I got him. Then when I realized he was a he, it was too late to change his name. Oh well.

I had a miniture schnauzer that had seizures. He lived 5.5 years on meds. Its very easy to control, you just have to be brave. If you have any questions feel free to PM me. There are lots of support groups out there as well, but they tend to be, well ... depressing.

Thanks, Becky!

I appreciate the offer and may take you up on it sometime.

I think she had the last one cause we were trying to lower her meds. Now she is back on the original dose and should be ok with that for the time being.

Sweeet!! My mother had an African Gray that was afraid to fly, so she walked around on the floor ... with the CATS.

The cats made sure NOT to go near the bird. I guess intuition told the little kitties that one bite from birdie would be very VERY painful. :teehee: And thus ... they lived together quite harmoniously.

I haven't looked at all the pages in this thread, but I bet they are all just as cute as those on this page...especially that duck - he's gorgoeus:inlove: And those frogs pretty cool too!

I have a 2 1/2 yr old Alaskan Malamute "Chloe" and a 7yr old neurotic cat called "Lucy". Unfortunately I'm moving overseas shortly and will have to find a new home for Chloe. My parents will have Lucy, but because they have a Chihauaua they won't take Chloe. It's going to break my heart to give her away:waah:

Here's a photo of Chloe taken when it snowed here a couple of years ago. Snow where I live is very rare...about once every 50years! I managed to get the afternoon off work to take her to see the snow - seeing she's a snow dog I had to make sure she saw snow at least once in her life!

Thanks Dangles:hug: I also think she's a beautiful looking Mal (and so does she as matter of fact - you should hear the racket she makes if we walk down the street and she doesn't get any pats or attention:roflhard:)

I completely agree with waiting until your child is older before getting a Mal. Chloe has not been bought up around children and when I start looking for a new home for her, one of the stipulations I will be having is that they don't have any young children (under 10). Because she hasn't spent much time around children she just gets sooo excitied (OMG little people little people...you can just see her saying!) and she'd be likely to knock a child over. I want her new home to be a forever home, not a family who will have to give her away again, because the kids couldn't play in the backyard in case Chloe knocks one of them over.

:teehee:Abby is my doggy niece but I love her like my own doggy and spoil her like crazy when I visit my brother and SIL. Here are a few of my favorite pics. One of her with my actually niece Cammie, her and my brother, profile, and one of my favorite trick she does. She will literally sit for hours with something on her nose if you say "don't eat" to her (we usually do it with a cookie), she doesn't move a muscle until you tell her to eat the cookie in a very high pitched voice. Sorry for the abundance of pictures, I just love her to death since I want a puppy so badly but can't have one in my apt.

Sunday morning is a good time to revive KH's cutes thread! :teehee:

I haven't posted any Cooper photos lately. I moved in June and Cooper now has 3 new best friends (my new roommate has 3 dogs).

Firstly, I must admit to some of the worst animal mistreatment--I got bored unpacking and dressed Cooper up in a t-shirt.

As you can see he's feeling pretty wt:!!!:

And here are some cute ones of his new pals:

http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1368/939495251_bce049f203.jpg

From left to right above is Sirius and Avi (both doberman/cattle dog mixes), then Kuma (a shepard, retriever mutt--we think a little black bear sneaked in there), and finally a passed out Cooper. He's still exhausted from all the running around and playing every day.

Kuma and Cooper are bestest buds (and trouble makers):

:inlove:

The cat's name is Lucky because we rescued him from our horrible abusive neighbour. They had him declawed, and then made him live outside and fend for himself. :gah:

 people suck.

I'll make "installment" posts on this - don't want to overwhelm everyone with all nine at one time!!

This is Lilah Josefina Jones - or Lilah Jo Jo - or L Double J

Lilah loves knitting - of all the cats, she is always sure to be there when knitting is going on. She is more enthralled with the ends of the needles as they move than with the yarn itself. She writes most of the knitting posts on the website.

Anytime I can show of my monkeys, I'm happy to oblige! That's Zoe on the left, and Eli on the right. Zoe came from a kennel, but Eli came to us from Petfinder.com last year.

What kind of dog is cooper? He's a cutie!

You've seen 2 out of 9 - Here are two more...Boomer (left) and Barny (right). Barny came with our property. We found her living in the barn and she gave birth there to 6 little babies. We found homes for everyone (including Boomer, as you can see) and had Barny spayed and brought her inside to live. She is not terribly social, but she is safe. She and Boomer still curl up together, and he is twice her size!

(Please excuse the partially made bed - if the cats get there first, the bed doesn't get made - how spoiled are they?)

I have no idea! But he is terribly cute :teehee:
He's such a mish-mash mutt of things that it's probably not worth it to even guess, there's no one breed that stands out as far as his looks or behavior. Poor guy doesn't even have matching ears--one's a stand up shepard style and one's floppy (though I don't know if that's another breed creeping in or if it got damaged as a puppy).

Educated guesses include:
*cattle dog (freckles on the nose and paw)
*shepard of some kind (the bushy tail)
*basenji
*something in the pitbull/amstaff category (big head, broad shoulders)

I've contemplated one of those doggie DNA tests just out of curiosity, but the one on the market only identifies 38 breeds and don't include some of the more likely breeds he may have in there.

He's a great dog though, I love a good mutt!

I can't believe I haven't posted my Bodie pics! I have a large tonnage of them, so I'll try to restrain myself.

She's a "collie mix" we found at the local animal shelter a year and a half ago.... or so. She's about 47lbs and gets ticked off if someone goes by the balcony without petting her (when it's cool/warm enough to have the door open). She cries like she's dyin' and progresses to barking as though she can bully people into giving her a good ear rub.

Man oh man, gotta love the auto resizing for pics in these posts.
