For those who have ordered and worked with this yarn, what do you think about it?
Is the yarn nice enough for a sweater?
Would it be considered medium or heavy worsted weight?

I am a new knitter, so all the help I can get is appreciated.

I have really enjoyed my yarn from KnitPicks. It is a medium, NOT heavy worsted weight yarn and knits up very nicely, in my opinion. I have only knit an Irish Hiking Scarf with it so far, but have more on order for a sweater. I think it's GREAT.

Welcome DK!

I've been working with that yarn. I'm making a felted bag with it now, and look forward to making a sweater out of it in the future. Not as soft as the luxury yarns of course, but I had a couple of friends "test feel" it, before putting a luxury yarn in their hands, and they said it felt fine and soft enough for a sweater. I wouldn't risk a turtleneck with it, since I like only the softest wool on my neck, but I would do any other type of sweater with it. It's nice yarn, and good to work with.
