I'm a semi-beginner knitting. That is I started knitting many years ago, stopped, started, stopped and now have started again. This time around I LOVE IT. Look forward to sharing patterns, tips and getting questions answered. Thanks for this site. By the way, I'm 50 something, work 4 days/week in a hospital. I'm an RN. I have 3 parrots, one pomeranian, and two fish. I live in Virginia Beach, VA. Currently, I'm knitting purses. Love to design and create!! :XX:

Welcome, welcome, Glenda...I'm relatively new to this forum and am already in love with it and the people here...as I'm sure u will be!!
I, too, love the animals...we have a zoo of sorts...1 tuxedo cat, Snuggle; 1 solid white 17 or 19lb cat (not fat...just big!); 1 parakeet, Chloe (he's a boy, but we didn't know that when he was named ;) ); another bird...Bo, my parrotlet (thought she was a he..lol); and last...but of course, not least...the boss of the house...Sally Mae, our dachshaund (sp?)...she is our empty nest baby...and she knows she's the boss....lol..she has my husband wrapped around her paw more so (I think. ) than our youngest (19) daughter has Daddy wrapped around her finger...perhaps it's a close tie!!
I look forward to getting to know u!!
Your new knitting buddy,

Welcome Glenda!

Hey, you and Rebecca should add your pet pictures to the Cheezy Pet Photos (http://www.knittinghelp.com/knitting/forum/viewtopic.php?t=899&) thread! Let's see those cuties of yours!

Hello! I am also another newbie! The videos were a life saver for me! After fumbling around trying to figure out the continental stitch (even with videos here), i decided to try the english method and wow, the video was fantastic!! :happydance: I picked it up right away (FINALLY!)

Now that I am getting the hang of it, I already started one project and decided nah, want to move on to something else already!! I am so distracted!! SO many things I want to try and make!!

Only one furry child (Kramer the cat) and a human one on the way (September, 2005), yay!! :cheering:
