Does anyone use a portable steam cleaner for blocking?
http://www.asseenontv.com/prod-pages/scunci_steamer.html?gg=scuncisteamer I saw it used on an episode of Knitty Gritty and could almost see the item "shape up" when the steam hit it.

It is so rainy and humid here if I get them very wet, my cotton dishcloths and scarf will mildew before they get dry. I can't imagine what might happen to my wool socks! (justification) :crying:

And of course .... the MAIN reason for the purchase would be to clean and disinfect the bathrooms and kitchen without using any harsh chemicals ! (excuse) :---

I have a steam cleaner. It doesn't work well on anything in my house! The TV studio must be covered with grease! I tried it on my oven. The oven got quite wet, but not clean. HOWEVER, when I ever finish the hem on my latest wool sweater, I'm going to drag it up from where it's been banished to the basement and give it a shot.
