LOL...when I was looking through the pet thread I had the same thoughts.

But no, you are not alone, I am catless.

No, there's at least ONE more. Me. No dogs either. Just plants, and they don't poop.

I love kitties!! I don't have one, my heart is still a bit broken from the loss of my Himalayan in January. But I do have a Solomonster.....he tries to sit on me like a cat....lol

Lisa, I have a couple of kitties here that you could have, though I'm not sure how they would take to flying :D

I've had a cat for most of my adult life, and when I was a child as well. I think the one I have now is maybe the wildest one I've ever had, but he's my baby and I just love him. I'm completely under his thumb and he knows it. He's even got my husband under his control now, and it's so funny to watch!! DH asked me the other day if I switched chairs with him so he'd have to let the cat in when he "knocks"!! (no--I just couldn't see the TV anymore from that far, but it has been a side benefit.) This cat was a feral cat and I don't think they ever outgrow it; when I don't do what he wants, he always comes and bites me under my arm and runs away. He knocks things over in the bedroom to wake me up, he's so totally obnoxious!! But when he curls up in my lap, I just can't help but love him. You know, some of us are just "cat people"!

I'm another "catless" knitter. No dogs either, just my girls when they're not with their father, or when they're home from college.

Advantage of petless state - 1: don't have to play tug-of-war with the yarn and pet, 2: no pet hair in projects.

When I was growing up, we had a long hair St. Bernard. I think some of the items I knit for my parents twenty plus years ago STILL have some of Lady Elkie's fur in them woven right in with the stitches.

I back up to a forest though, so I enjoy all the "wild" animals I can hear and see from my deck.
