I'm 36 but feel 26... I hope to high heaven I inherited my mom's genes, she just turned 63, she runs 5 miles 5 times a weeks, is a size 4 and looks 15 years younger than her age. :happydance:
Picture a gal like Sharon Osbourne only without the accent and expletives... :roflhard:
KK, I decided when I turned 35 last year, to lie about my age when the opportunity to do so presents itself... ;)

i still sometimes catch myself saying i am 30 and i don't even know where it comes from..veddy odd!

OMGosh, Beld...this is the age (and/or 40, depending upon the person) of which I vandalize your yard, work, car....leave signs all over town; in your yard; definitely signs all the way to work and then I find my co-consrirator at your place of business and he/she will do the same there!! Of course, this is all a covert op...done under the veil of darkness around 3am; I used to take my youngest daughter (20 now) to her teachers' houses to do it at the end of school, too....only the cool teachers of whom would understand that it was fun bc nice signs, balloons, etc were left.
Don't u wish that I lived near u and could have :balloons: all in your yard, car, etc for your bday?....lol
HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MY FRIEND

Good grief :cheering: Binkycat. Your mother is amazing. You're so blessed to have her that way--although I don't know how you keep up with her. Gee, I';; be 56 in Nov., can hardly walk enough to shop for groceries, and wear close to sz. 14 rather than a 4!! On the other hand, my own om is going to be 91 in nov. She maintains her home, and drives friemd's to their meetings, and chemo treatments--they only made a few of those!!!

I'm 32 and I feel like I'm in my mid twenties, mentally. That's probably because my husband just turned 27 on June 28th.

Physically, my knees are both shot from years and years of team speed skating. (roller.. don't laugh! It's coming back into popularity.)

I have arthritis in my hands for some odd reason. Probably the CT surgery.

I have horrible back pain from having inherited my mom's huge knockers. Oh NO! She couldn't let me inherit her petite frame or small feet..(I still don't know how she stands up. It's a defiance of all the laws of physics) I had to get.. THE KNOCKERS!

And I have bad neck pain from being hit by a car when I was a child. So.. physically, I feel 80.

Aby, I could have written all that myself! My mom's always been this teeny little thing with a big bosom. Let's just say, I have the big bosom-similarity ends there. And, boy, can I identify with the back pain!

I also suffer from arthritis in my hands, which I strongly suspect is a result of Carpal Tunnel surgery. At least I can now use my hands, though. I barely could before the surgery, so I'd do it again.

Hey :D I'm 24, and am sooooo happy to see I'm not the only one who gets weird looks for knitting at my age. Lets review the reactions I've gotten:

1) Whatever makes you happy dear (DH trying to sound like the supportive husband who never gets a laugh at his wife's expense...think Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey)

2) Well, you could be addicted to something worse (in an email from an old friend...this comment earned old friend a spot in my "Never Talk To Again" list ;) )

3) That's just hilarious! The thought of you knitting just makes me laugh! (from the [until now] greatest sis in the world. Nah, I'm just kidding...she's awesome)

Anyway, you get the idea:)

I've been 39 for ten years. Mentally, still in my mid to late twenties.

I work with a lot of twenty-somethings, most of whom are young enough to be my children, but it never really feels like there's an age difference unless someone mentions a historical event I remember first-hand that they heard about in history class!

My Dad turns 75 today and he's one of the youngest people I know!!

Hope I'll be like him when (IF) I grow up!!

BESIDES - KNITTING IS TIMELESS.

I'm 25, although sometimes I have to check to make sure. After 21, the last "rite of passage" year, it gets hard to keep track! Although I'm closer to turning 26 than 25, which would have me check off another button on that poll!

I've only been knitting for 2 months though, and haven't done it around many people, so I'm not sure if I've gotten any weird looks. I have done it on a plane though. Does that put me in some sort of special "mile high club"? ;)

Maybe not, but everything else in sight (or smell)! My son used to use a tupperware storage bowl for his cereal--that was his first after school snack. Never an ounce of fat on him either. Our school nurse says that teenage boys can eat 7000 calories a day and not gain weight.
