Yay! I'm so excited you guys are playing! KK you shouldn't have said that because now if I draw your name it's going to look very suspicious. :)

ekgheiy...not sure what the problem is...can you give me the exact error you get? It requires name and email address to go through...the email address isn't show anywhere but to me though.

heehee...always something silly, isn't it! Of course not! It was something extremely complicated. The forumla to solve this massive riddle required my space modulatooor to calculate the precise cordinators of the eternal and elusive solution!!! :eyebrow: :rofling:

So should we start filling out the contact form yet? I soooooooooooooo want to win :cheering:

I will have you know that I started knitting a VERY pretty square last night, and got 3/4 of the way done before I realized (1) I wasnt gonna have enough of this particular yarn and (2) it was too big anyway. So (3) Im gonna reduce it by one pattern repeat and do it all over again today.

feministmama
09-18-2005, 01:00 AM
So does that mean the square has to be EXACTLY 8 inches square? Could it be 7 and 3/4? And how thick? I got some of the super humugous stuff that you need size 17 needles or something.

kemp
09-18-2005, 10:04 AM
As close to 8 as possible would be great...once you start varying the square size much, putting together the afghan becomes increasingly difficult! I'm not going to get out a ruler and disqualify anyone though...unless it is off by a couple of inches or something huge like that :)

Oh you silly, silly, KK! I JUST got it last night and it is gorgeous! The only reason I didn't immediately run in here and post is because I was in the middle of making dinner when Jim brought it in. Besides, I wanted to make a proper post (http://www.divaknitting.com/blog/?p=171) and take a picture of it in all it's fantastically soft merino glory!

Geez, now I'm intimidated...
I finally figured out what my square will be, now I just have to chart it, pick out the yarn, and knit it...

KellyK

What are you intimidated for?? Silly PHM...

kemp
09-22-2005, 02:45 PM
Whoops...I was in such a hurry to take a picture of it and put it up so you would know that I got it that I didn't even pause to consider which was the "right" side, especially since both sides are so pretty. I'll get that fixed! :)

kemp
09-22-2005, 02:50 PM
Presto, chango, POOF! It's done :) My deepest apoloiges...of the two pretty sides, the RIGHT side is indeed the prettiest!

Kemp,

I'm entering as well, not just because of the yarn, or because of the katrina victims, but rather to help you keep warm this winter, hehe. Seriously, though, it's a great idea.

Just got back from my mailbox and I have two more entries from KK...including one with the initial "K"...LOVE IT! Also two entries from Julie one of which is a fantastic dark purple. Got two from feministmama yesterday which I already posted to my blog.

This is so fun y'all! I will think of all my knitty friends even more this year when I'm curled up on the couch with my new afghan.
