i just saw the movie a few hours ago. there's something about that red beanie she wore. i want to make it. i know it doesn't help that you can't really see it well. but i dunno. i like how it fit her head.. where it increases in the middle kinda? if you saw the movie you'd probably have a better idea.

Hmm... I'd say knit a tube and seam it at one end. But I'm probably wrong.

my thinking is that if you do the first two or three rows on smaller needles in knit stitch (no stockinette in the round) and then switch to a bigger needle and to stockinette you can get the same look. Or start out with say, 60 stitches for a few rounds and then increase to 70 stitches and work the body.

Or even better....E-mail Lion Brand and demand that they hurry up and bring out their version of the hat cuz ya know someone there is working on it! ;)

as far as the movie I am not a fan of Dunst or Bloom and i loved this movie.

I saw this link posted on craftster. It was a discussion also about the elizabeth town hat, and someone found this hat that kirstin wore in spidey 2. Pretty similar, I'm sure there's some altering to be done, but it's a start

This one looks kind of similar, yes?

It's from Lopi and can be found here: http://www.camillavalleyfarm.com/lopi/2402kit.htm

The one down the bottom here looks similar too:

I still like Kirsten's better, but these may be worth taking a peek at.
