I want to use this pattern for a hat for my friend, but I'm having a hard time understanding the "turn" part of the pattern. Any advice?

You just turn your work and start knitting the other way...even though you haven't reached the end of the row yet. (Short rows!) :D

can you help with this part?

"Each time you change colors, bring the new color to the front and over the old color to create a neat, consistent border along the bottom edge of the hat."

I hope I'm allowed to post that from the page. I mean no offense or copyright infringement, I just don't get it.

thanks!
