Or

The Knitter's Companion: Vicki Square (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1883010136/qid=1133711049/sr=8-1/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i1_xgl14/002-8100411-6440022?n=507846&s=books&v=glance) ?

My boyfriend wants to know, and I didnt spend enough time looking at the store...do you all have a preference or think both are must-haves?

Sorry, I don't have either of the books, but I've heard great things about Vicki's book. Some experienced knitters I've known/read about still refer to it. Have also heard great things about Vogues, too.

I own both but alway use the Knitter's Companion. It's very portable too, so you can throw it in with your knitting, unlike the Vogue book.

Makes sense, Kimmie. What's so quick about hauling out a big book?
