Does it violate copyright laws, etc?

I would like to use one for my personal use and am wondering if the copyright police will be knocking on my door anytime soon.

Of course you can! You can't post them on the internet or claim them as your own pattern, but library books are there to be borrowed and used!

Agree!

If you show off your work just be sure to give credit to where you found your pattern and what not.

I would think that it would be no different than using the patterns in the book if you bought it, right :D ?!

If it weren't okay, I'd be in biiiig trouble...the copyright police would have come long ago to drag me to copyright jail! (Do you think they'd let me knit in there?) :D

the only time it WOULDN"T be okay is if you were knitting a pattern and selling the work without giving credit.

If the copyright police take you to copyright jail for a knitting infraction I seriously doubt whether they would allow you to knit. Maybe you could crochet with good behavior.

My mother says the only reason I haven't killed my son is because of the fear of not being able to knit in prison. :D
