Anybody own a Glimakra Swift? Or another kind? I know Kelly wanted one... I'm wondering if it's better to get the big 100 in spread as opposed to the smaller one 72 in I think.
I guess the real question is Do I Really Need One!?
(I want one but.... it's over $60)

Hi Victoise
I got this swift (http://www.joann.com/catalog.jhtml?CATID=82324&PRODID=80807) from JoAnn.com
the picture doesn't do it justice, it is much nicer in real-life and I was very pleased - it's $60 but I used a 50% off coupon so it was only $30

I have this one. I don't know how much you'd use the 100" feature. You'd have access to some pretty large skeins. I love my swift. I know there are less expensive ones, but it's work of art in my opinion. Another thing that will last a lifetime.

Thanks for the site.... Joanns I mean.
Ingrid! Is that the Glimakra? It's really nice looking. You have everything! I want one of those. I'm actually bidding right now (sssshhhhhh) on ebay
and maybe I'll go higher than I was intending to.
If it's not the Glimakra, can you tell me where you got it?
Thanks!

I've had it for over a year, and I don't remember where I got it. It's made in Sweden, I do remember. www.yarnia.com has the large one on sale right now for 55.99.
