I LOVE hedgehogs and would like to find some needles with hedgehogs on the ends, point protectors shaped like hedghogs or anything else for knitting hedgie-related. Have any of you come across something like this or know of a company that custom makes stuff like that for a reasonable price? Thanks!

Well, I really don't think you're going to find anything quite that specific in knitting equipment. However, there is information on this forum about making your own needles. So you could take sculpey clay and mold hedgehogs for your needle ends.

The knitting suppliers are starting to figure out just how dedicated we knitters are to our craft (and to the art of spending money). Someday they will figure out that we really want funky stuff like hedgehog point protectors.

I know I would buy them, and I'm sure that our own Hedgehog (another prickly animal enthusiast on the forum) would snap them up, too!

I've never seen anything like that, but here's a hedgehog pattern (http://www.knittingzone.com/catalog/product_info.php?pName=hedgehog-pattern&cName=by-type-toys). ;)

In our household, we refer to them as "hedgepigs" - as in Cooper, go get your hedgepig. Even my teenagers call them hedgepigs. Yes I AM strange.

that patern is so cute! I'm glad to see that so many people enjoy hedgies. Perhaps someone will decide to humor us and make some point covers someday. I'd love that! I'm not "crafty" enough to make them myself. They would look nothing like a hedgehog.
