I'm so proud of him, he made the Urban Necessity Gloves from Magknits! He used black Patons Classic Merino wool, but it looks gray because of the flash.

Wow, that's awesome! I wish I could get my dh to knit!

01-17-2006, 12:14 PM
Thanks for all the compliments guys! I have to admit, when I taught DH how to knit, I had an alterior motive. He was complaining about me knitting all the time and about my growing stash. So now I got him hooked and he's right there with me in the LYS helping to enlarge my stash. These Gloves are his 4th project. He did a moss stitch afghan for his first project, and he's done 2 Dishcloths.

Well, get over here to join us!
What a great job he did on those gloves!
Do you have a pic of the afghan he made?

01-17-2006, 12:46 PM

01-17-2006, 12:57 PM
Wow, thats impressive-it's only his FOURTH project?! fantastic!!

I wish I could get my dh to knit with me-he'd probably show me up though :D lol so maybe not, he he he. It would be so cool to go yarn shopping together ;)

very impressive--I could never get dh to knit--it would require moving..LOL!

Mom's trying to get dad to try it though..I can't imagine that (my dad is a disabled former truck driver...)...but he's surprised me before! (like the time he agreed to wear a feather boa and a homemade skirt while my neice (who was 3 at the time) pained his toe nails...thank god I got out the camera for that one!

So where's the pics?

01-17-2006, 02:23 PM
Here's a pic of the afghan DH knitted. I was looking for a pic of it, and couldn't find one so I got it out and threw it over the couch for the pic. I don't know where the dishcloths are that he knitted or I would have added pics of those as well.

Those are great. I wish my dh knitted also then he would understand the need for more yarn. At least he seems impressed with what I do though. Tell your dh that they look great.
