View Full Version : Yet another Booga bag question

So I casted on 50 and knitted 50 rows, picked up 150 rows. Now that I am knitting in the round I am wondering how much I should knit. :?? What is a good pre-felting height for this bag? I did a search but didn't find that answer. Thanks for any help!

What I have gathered, from the one I finished in non- Noro, from the posters here, and from others who have completed this bag, that it shrinks more in height than in width. I think the pattern calls for 64 as written. My little booger-booga was knit with 80 some because I lost track....and my booga on the needles is going to go up to 100.

what are you knitting with? I made one booga with paton's merino and it ended up being quite small after felting, but following the same patterns with Noro Kyureon (or however it is spelled LOL!) it wasn't quite as small. Of course (confession) when I felted the Paton's I forgot about it as I got distracted and it ran through the entire cycle so I didn't stop the felting like I would normally when it got to where I want. I still love it and use it (it's a great little handbag and I could easily make it into a sock knitting bag). Felting is fun (and addictive!)
