I'm making my mom a hand towel and washcloth set for her birthday, and I can't decide how wide to make the hand towel.

I'm using worsted weight cotton (Bernat Cottontots)
Any advice?

I haven't decided what pattern to use for the towel yet, but I was thinking I might use this Lacy Mock Cable Cloth (http://www.jimsyldesign.com/%7Edishbout/kpatterns/lacymockcable.html) design and adapt it.

I'd probably just look at other hand cloth patterns and get a general guideline.

That's a very pretty pattern.

I'd probably just measure a regular hand towel make it as close as possible depending on the multiples of stitches of the pattern. That is a really nice one!
