View Full Version : OMG! I love this sweater!
Have you guys seen this (http://www.knitpicks.com/Projects/Projects_Display_Yarn.aspx?itemid=50443220&yarnid=5420104) over at KnitPicks? So beautiful! :inlove: I don't normally wear wool sweaters though, perhaps I'll have to try it in something else.

That's odd. I just tried the link again and the Starburst Sweater comes up. I got an email from KnitPicks for it, too. The style of the sweater wouldn't suit me, but I was thinking of the getting the pattern just for the starburst.

Packing? Who needs packing?
Yeah, so I've been slacking on the packing to move thing. I'll get to it, I swear! But I have been knitting, of course. ;) Completed: One My So Called Scarf. Lucky recipient: My Sister

I got an e-mail from KP today with that sweater in it. I love it as well. Thinking about making it as well.
I got that e-mail too. I really like it, but I was thinking maybe a little longer for the sleeves. I think that length would drive me crazy. It looks a longer than 3/4 length but not all the way to the wrist. Or am I just seeing things?
I agree the sleeves are a funny length. I wasn't sure I liked the ribbed look of them either, perhaps I could do a belled stockinette sleeve?
I clicked on "this" each time. :??
I FINALLY got to see what the buzz was all about. :cheering:
I love the back too. :inlove:

got the email.... already added it to my cart!
I think belled sleeves would look great, Mer. What about the length of the body of the sweater? I was also thinking maybe a little longer, but would that mess up the wrap?

I love that pattern! I'm thinking about buying the pattern and knitting it! I love the way it crosses over in the front and I really love the sleeves. The back is simply amazing and beautiful! Let me know if you get the pattern!

Here is a free pattern at garnstudio. It's not the same pattern, but it's very close. Cardigan in “art knitting” (http://garnstudio.com/lang/en/visoppskrift.php?d_nr=94&d_id=5&lang=en)

Ooh, I think I like that one even better!!!
I didn't order the KnitPicks one yet...I thought it was silly to have to pay for shipping for one pattern.
Ugh, that garnstudio pattern looks hard though.
I like the back and the sleeves of the garnstudio pattern, but I don't like the "laciness" of the front. I like the style, though, with the longer length.

That sweater is just beautiful. I do not blame you for wanting to make it. If I were thin I'd want to make it too!!! Sure is lovely. Good luck with it. :XX: :XX:

I love it, but I think it's a bit low cut. What do you think?

Ooh, that's pretty too. You could always wear something under it if it's too low.
