View Full Version : What does knit on the bias mean?

I've read this in several places, and cannot figure out what knitting on the bias actually entails. Can anyone enlighten me?

The way you knit it makes it look like it is knitted an angle (if that makes any sense). I made a scarf that I saw on knitty gritty, here's a pic:

It involves knitting diagonally, like the pp mentioned. You cast on a new stitch at the beginning of rows and bind of a stitch at the end of the rows (or vice versa).
