I was just looking at the IK summer 2005 issue on their website and I am debating if I should purchase it. Did anyone make anything from it? I am looking at the Isis Shrug, but have never done a lace pattern... but I love shrugs. For those who have the issue or saw it... any projects that could be handled by a beginner will do be challenged (but not too frustrated).

I have this issue and actually was looking at it yesterday. It has lots of summery patterns in it and I might knit the robe in it one day. There is also a good article on gauge. The Isis Shrug has an 8-row repeat, with purls on the even rows. The lace pattern has basic k2tog, yo, sl, psso type stuff. With a life line, it should be ok. There is a lot of shaping involved--at least a lot of directions in that area, but lots of directions could be a good thing.
