I've not done a lot of knitting this year bc of my injuries. I've done the square for Amy's afghan; several wash/dishcloths; soap sacks and wash mitts; all can be seen here (http://photobucket.com/albums/y119/rebeccame/) under 2006 knitting.
I had thought about beginning to knit the several beautiful shawls that I have the patterns & yarn for.....BUT.....from under my bed I've heard the constant calls from my sock yarn....."Knit Us, Becks.....please, knit Us...we want to be socks...we've been in hanks & balls for far too long, we want to be socks.....please.." Then Lonnie surprised me with Nancy Bush's Knitting Vintage Socks (http://www.knitpicks.com/books/itemid_30670/books_display.aspx) AND I had already ordered the Sock I dvd (http://www.knitpicks.com/books/itemid_80271/books_display.aspx), but it's not yet here. So....I am about to cast on a pair of socks for my aunt's bday.....now, :?? if I can only remember how it's done...........

Sorry to hear about the injuries. But glad that you are feeling better enough to jump back into knitting. I'm pretty sure you will remember how to do it the moment you pick up those needles. Enjoy!!

I LOVE that washcloth Born to Knit and the other one too! You know, I've wanted that particular book every since I saw it a few months ago at the bookstore. It's really a great great book. What a thoughtful DH!

I've had one sock lying around for twomonths that hasn't been finished, just the little bit at the end of the toe. It's so MAD AT ME. I hate the way they turn out too square or pointy sometimes but I love dpns and won't do circulars sooooo I have to figure a better way to make my toes more round.

Think I'll do that washcloth of yours!!!! If I can figure it out.

Great job! It's very readable. Did you do the flower cloth with KnitPro as well?
I bet if you made those patterns available everybody on here would do a Born to Knit cloth. Or, you could submit it someplace for publication like you did with your socks.

I found all of these when I was searching for patterns! My goodness, they are also more popping up all of the time, too! I didn't realize that cloth knitting was so popular, but it's VERY popular :D LOL, there are some girls that design cloths & take requests! They can be found here (http://www.geocities.com/knitwits_heaven/) LOL, they are working on dachshund & a guitar cloths now & I am going to have to have those bc Lonnie plays guitar and, well, Sally (http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y119/rebeccame/My%20Lonnie%20and%20Sally/IM000150.jpg) would have to be represented since she rules the roost ;)

I decided to just type out the pattern for the BORN TO KNIT cloth bc the graft is rather difficult to decipher bc it's shades of gray.
FYI, I used Lily's Sugar & Cream yarn, it's a worsted cotton...LOL, I have no idea of the size, I forgot to measure before shipping them. I have one pattern that is square, as in KK's pic and one that is more of a horizontal rectangle, I am posting the pattern for the square one, let me know if you want the horizontal pattern, too ;)
