most people do hate lizards...it's okay. It's some strange animal interest I've had since I was young. I always like them--chased them at my grandparents house in south florida and I've loved them ever since. I was in to iguana rescue for several years but at 5 months pregnant I found myself w/ no iguanas...since they are carriers of all kinds of nasty germs, I decided to hang up the habit. I do still miss having them around and the weather here in GA is good for them in the summer. Anyway--I just like them!

Then the avatar is perfect for you! I don't mind the little ones in my yard although I won't touch them. The iguanas... I prefer cuddly pets myself. :roflhard:

That is so funny! I can't even figure out how to get one for myself. All my pictures seem to be too big.

you have to resize them but beyond that--I couldn't tell you diddly about it...dh uses photoshop for work so he's good with it--I can hardly figure out how to load pics into it, much less do anything else...

I like your lizardy knitter Cristy! Very funny. We've not had a reptilian pet since the boys grew and left home, but Kevin used to have a little firebelly newt he named Fig. Pretty clever name for a ten year old. Figgy was around for about four years. I rather liked him! Of course he didn't chase our weiner puppies around! They'd have been interested in him, though, had he been on the floor. samm

My son's gf, who just took up residence with him, has a 6-foot boa who moved in also. Instead of grandchildren, I have 2 grand-cats and perhaps a soon to be grand-snake.

Why would a nice, well-educated woman want a boa constrictor as a pet? (Sorry all you snake lovers.) Ick.

sure...dh would do that I think...he's good. That took him about 15 minutes!!

Thanks for the iguana pic...my in laws have a place in the keys and see them from time to time...I want to go to Costa Rica just to see them!! ;)

Why would a well educated woman want a reptile for a pet??? My mother is still searching for the same answer!!! LOL!

Clever Avatar! Kudos to your DH!

I think she's trying to start a fire with those two sticks. Must not be hot enough weather yet for her.

yea...it was hard to get the sticks just right mostly b/c we had to get real creative w/ his hands...those hands don't really belong to that lizard but they were close enough...I asked dh if he could make the yarn move too and he gave me that look that meant that I was pushing it a little...:) LOL

:XX: Hey, Christy:
I am here in Newnan, Ga...my grown daughter and I had iguanas, too! We also have weiner dogs...have you taken yours to the Halloween Dachshaund (?) parade in Atlanta? We dress ours up and go. :D
