I finished mini-Clapotis for my mom a few weeks ago.

I thought I'd prefer her unblocked, all smooshy and bumpy, but once I blocked her, I ended up liking her a lot better that way.

Anyways, the stats:
- 3 balls of Karaoke #278.
- I did 4 repeats of section 2, 9 of section 3, and 4 of section 4.
- started on 16 March, finished 28 March.

Measurements:
Pre-blocking - 17" x 59"
Post-blocking - 18.5" x 62"

I'm also working on a pair of socks, two at a time. It's my second pair of socks - first on circulars, though. I figured I might as well jump right in and figure out how to do this. I found a great tutorial here (http://www.socknitters.com/2circs/index.htm).

Everything looks great! So, what do you think of knitting two at a time on circs versus one at a time on double-points? I've only used the dp and someday want to venture out.

Thanks, everyone! My mom loved her bday gift...I teased my brothers that I am STILL the reigning 'favorite' child for a) giving the better bday gift this year, and b) being the only one to have given her a grandbaby so far. ;)

kimmie, for me, knitting on two circs was a little trickier than one on dpns. It took a little getting used to. I had to frog about 3 times before I got it right. But, once you get the hang of it, it's sooooo much faster. It's nice to not have to keep track of rows to keep the socks even, you know? And, once you're done, that's it, you have a pair of socks. I'd totally suggest in investing in a pair of addi's, too. They've made all the difference.

My knitting group is going to do a clapotis knit along this summer (ready to wear by fall!). I think I might use karaoke! It looks great!
