I got my goods, I got my goods!! :cheering: :cheering:
My pal sent me a skein of Alpaca...OMG, y'all, it's like touching heaven. Well, actually, Oscar. Hence the clue of Oscar the Grouch...funny. The back of the label says that it came from Oscar. This stuff is seriously the softest yarn I've ever felt (and I've fondled LOTS of yarn.) It's undyed - Oscar is just naturally this beutiful.
I also got a pack of chocolate soaps which smell amazing! One bar is already sitting by the bathroom sink. :D Thank you, Jessica!!! This chocolate is FAR better for my marathon training than the real stick-to-your-thighs stuff. ;)
Oh, there's also a very sweet card, but I totally spazzed and forgot to put it in the pic.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I  LOVE  it all!!!
Yesterday I showed our friend's 2-yr-old the yarn. She says, "Ooooh, it's sooofffft" and proceeded to rub it on her face. When I told her that it was Oscar's hair that she was rubbing on her face, she was totally grossed out and ran away.

Yes, I'm drooling over everyone's yarn porn! This whole swap had to be the best idea ever. I'm so glad we did it. The best part is I made the greatest new friend!

yay! I'm glad you liked Oscar. I must say -- I copped one last feel before I put him in the bag. Hopefully you can make something lovely with him... maybe a scarf? then you can snuggle him all the time.
While I was up on Whidbey Island Dad, Mike and Grover (I know... kinda funny his name is Grover when we're discussing Oscar the alpaca) were all talking about how they could pull off raising Alpacas, and all the coin they could make off of it... granted - I'd have to learn how to spin, but I'd be willing if it meant I got to fondle more alpaca fleece.
As for the cholocate -- you would absolutely DIE if you ever visited my step-mom's shop -- http://www.chocolateflowerfarm.com, they've got chocolate EVERYTHING.
mmmm chocolate and alpaca. :D

This is such fun! I love reading about everyone's revelations!
Knitters never cease to amaze me. All in all, an astoundingly generous group of people!
I not only had great pleasure in surprising Amy (horve1) each month, but we now have begun what, I know to be a lifelong friendship, of which I am eternally grateful :D
Not only that, I was given such delightful things by my partner, Sara, who is also a new, lifelong friend :D
I think that the greatest gifts that we are receiving are these new, treasured friendships

I got my stuff today!!! She mailed in on tuesday and I got it today!
Can I just say that Stephani is now my bestest friend! I got 4 balls of Kid Merino for a lace (!) shawl that I have been wanting to knit but haven't had the guts to actually buy yarn for yet. Knitters Balm for my hands (perfect because I have such dry hands that they crack all the time) and the thing that she made me.... beautiful stitch markers!! (My first pair) Also in blue! She emailed me and asked me a few questions before she went shopping. Can you tell what my favorite color is? The only problem is that my daughter is also obsessed with blue so I have to CO immediatly so that she can not get her hands on them ;)
Thank You so much I absolutly love everything! And seeing as how I just put myself on yarn buying restriction this made it a little easier. :D
You ROCK Steph!!!

Nope, I don't live there. My dad and step-mom moved there last year. I'm 3000 miles away, near Philadelphia. I just got back from a 2 week trip there. It's GORGEOUS. Can't wait to visit again (although that whole "ferry" thing is a pain.

I got the yarn off ebay. Here's (http://stores.ebay.com/A-Fly-Design) the seller.
I can't wait till she looks at the CD. (It's not a music/listen CD.) She's gonna be even pleased.

She did not, however, include her screen name. (See Rebecca, I'm not the only meanie! ) I am going to guess that LadyIndica2000 is the culprit, due to her hint!

It feels kinda like microfiber, but not quite. I can't wait to start on something with it, but I've already got way to many things started. I want to have all my Christmas gifts done by November so that I can just kick back and relax on something for me.

I am all excited that I get to have another stitch marker, I'm a goof :roflhard:
I want to start the shawl so bad right now but I'm all freaked about it  :roflhard:

I'm sure you can do it. I just can't even think about lace right now...every few minutes my kids are "Mom, can I have this, mom can you do that, Moooooooooom can you wipe my butt"....I can hardly ever finish a row without interuption.
I wondered if my asking if you and brenda knew who your pals were was going to give it away as to who I was but I guess not! :)

Thank you Thank you yarn pal even though I still don't know who you are...I got the same corn yarn (hehehe) that one of the previous posters got and it came from Kemp's store! My camera is on the fritz so I can't take pics--it's Amaizing 100% corn fiber by SWTC in color#162 (blue/white/teal) (2 skeins).
I remember there being a hint that was corn but since someone else has gotten the same yarn...I gotta go do some research and see if the hint was meant for me or someone else! LOL!
Whoever you are, thank you! Hopefully I'll figure out your identity as soon as I find that corn picture! :)

Honestly, all I saw was the wood floor and I thought that was a bamboo floor for "bamboo" yarn - and I didn't even see the little bit of "blue" there.... and then the HUGE smiley face! :figureditout: You must get the prize for having the slowest swap pal ever.....
rebecca

:cheering: :cheering: :cheering: I knew you would get it :cheering: :cheering: LOL, the only reason that I knew is because the smiley face stood out when I saw it...then, I saw it on your bear ;)
And, I gave to horve1! You thought that your gift giver was me, no, then you thought it was Sara. Well, Sara gave to me and I gave to horve1 (Amy) and horve1 gave to you...so, we were all entwined :D

I got me some gooooodies today and I can NOT believe it but i don't think i have ever felt up this yarn before. it is so yummy soft (just as i was promised) that i spent half the evening at my part time job just petting it. I did have to go do some investigating to find out who my person was....I really had done a good job putting it out of my head...lol. i was SURE it was one of our Debbies. However my swap pal was DeeKnits! Thank you so much! You have spoiled me well. This stuff is almost an exact match to the back of my couch (no r
